Use of the service is paid for by buying Krediz (points to use against a chat or mail through the site), which start at around £35 for 5000 Krediz by credit card, although you can also use a premium rate telephone call to buy 100 Krediz! Once you've paid, just like a pay as you go mobile phone, every call or message you make (even looking at a profile) will cost you Krediz.

The design is funky and young and the online chat is quite fast and responsive. There are a number of value added options such as voice messaging. are meticulous about reviewing pictures and profiles and have an advanced user-review service so anyone who has a complaint about another member can make it easily!
Minus Points - Meetic UK datingYou may spot that much of the site has been translated into English and the lack of fluency is rather off putting. We found site navigation clumsy which added to the lack of intuitiveness of this site. Added to that, the design and font is a bit hard to read and the profiles are very long. So, it can take some time to get used to.
Many of the features seem a bit pointless - we'd appreciate some feedback here on what is useful and what is not.
The Krediz scheme means there is not much of a community feel to the site.
Who is Meetic UK For?We think is best suited to younger singles looking for fun online. People who don't want to commit to a monthly subscription but prefer to pay as they go, perhaps on a restricted budget. The site is also great for anyone who wants to make friends in mainland Europe ( has a huge following in Spain, Germany and France for example). But if you are looking for a date in London, Bristol or Birmingham Meetic may not be the site for you!
